Azamara Cruises
Azamara Cruises pairs four intimate ships with port-focused itineraries built around longer stays, late departures, and overnights in selected destinations. Life onboard is calm and sociable, with open-seating dining, familiar gathering spaces, live entertainment, spa and fitness facilities, and service shaped for a fleet carrying up to 702 guests per ship. The format suits travelers who place time ashore and easy access to smaller ports ahead of large-scale resort attractions.
Azamara operates four closely related R-class ships: Azamara Journey, Azamara Onward, Azamara Pursuit, and Azamara Quest. Their smaller scale allows them to enter waterways and ports that are not practical for many larger vessels, while the sailing programme emphasizes Extended Destination Days, late-night stays, and selected overnights. Onboard, guests move between Discoveries Restaurant, Windows Café, specialty dining, lounges, the Cabaret Lounge, The Sanctum Spa, and open decks without the distances or crowds associated with a large resort ship.
The clearest advantage is time in port. Longer calls can make evening dining, cultural performances, and unhurried sightseeing ashore more practical, while selected itineraries include overnight stays. Back onboard, the four-ship fleet keeps a consistent small-ship layout, personal service, open-seating main dining, and social venues that are easy to navigate. Most voyages also include an AzAmazing Evenings cultural event, although the format and availability depend on the sailing.
