The Debut of Celebrity Cruises’ New Ship Celebrity Flora Promises Exceptional Journeys to the Galapagos Islands

Lying off the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean, the Galápagos Islands are noted as one of the premier destinations in the world for viewing wildlife. In response to this distinction, the Celebrity Flora cruise ship offers a number of amenities that enhance the travel experience to this volcanic archipelago.

Designed especially for cruise guests to the Galapagos Islands, the Celebrity Flora provides a 360-degree view of the land mass. An outward facing design makes it possible for passengers to view wildlife up close. The educational programs on the ship also support the viewing experience.

For example, the entry point for the cruise vessel is The Marina, which decreases the travel time when debarking from the ship. In turn, guests have more time to explore this pristine island chain. For guests who stay onboard, the Sunset Lounge offers a relaxing escape as does the Vista, which features private cabanas and loungers and panoramic views. Guests can also take in the scenery from the Observatory, a space that displays floor-to-ceiling glass windows and spectacular views.

If you want to learn more about the wildlife of the Galapagos Islands, head on over to either the Naturalist Center or Darwin’s Cove. Trip information is offered in the ship’s Discovery Lounge. Guests can also view the stars at night from the Stargazing Platform, or take part in an astronomy tour at the same site.

For guests who want to enjoy added luxury, the Celebrity Flora offers penthouse suites that fuse indoor and outdoor living. Suites feature a telescope for watching sea lions or gazing at the stars. Hungry passengers will find contentment at the Ocean Grill, which provides unique dining experiences. You can either enjoy dinner under the stars or savor the restaurant’s entrees inside, along with its elegant decor.

Everything about the Celebrity Cruises vessel is made expressly for enjoying an expedition trip to the Galapagos Islands. The ship will make her first trip on May 26, 2019, and will depart from Balta throughout the year. Reservations for the seven-night journeys are currently being booked now.
