Looking for things to do when you’re ashore during your cruise to Labadee? The good news is that you’ll have plenty of options. Labadee shore excursions are both plentiful and tempting.

The not-so-great news? Well—you might have a hard time deciding which ones to rule out. With any luck, you’ll have time to enjoy all of your top choices, with plenty of time left over for relaxation.

Enjoy Warmth, Wonder, and Watery Fun with These Labadee Shore Excursions and Activities

    Take Flight with Ziplining

Want to learn what it feels like to fly? Take one of these Labadee zip line adventures, and you’ll have a pretty good idea.

On Dragon’s Fire Flight Line, you’ll zoom headfirst along 2,800 feet of cable, which will take you soaring over the ocean. After racing alongside breathtaking cliffs and over stunning coral reefs, you’ll touch down on an elevated landing deck to conclude your flight.

Dragon’s Breath Flight Line is shorter, yet no less thrilling. It begins 500 feet over the sandy beaches of Labadee and zips along 2,600 feet of cable. You’ll attain top speeds of 40 to 50 miles per hour before landing on Dragon’s Breath Rock.

Skim the Surf on a Wave Jet

Pilot a personal watercraft through the crystalline waters to explore Haiti’s shores from a whole new angle. You’ll have trained guides to orient you on the basics before you speed away to enjoy the sights.

Take Your Pick of Beach Cabanas

Take a break from all this pulse-pounding adventure to relax in a private cabana. On Barefoot Beach, you’ll enjoy lunch at a private BBQ facility, along with the classic lounge chairs and floating beach mats. You can choose between cabanas that are situated over the water, tucked upon a hillside, or nestled along the beach.

If you opt for a cabana on Nellie’s Beach, a handicap-accessible version is available. All cabana rentals include bottled water and a dedicated cabana attendant. Note that the pricing is per cabana, not per person.

Get Wet at Arawak Aqua Park

Arawak Aqua Park includes “the only icebergs in the Caribbean”—huge floating structures that you can climb and dive off. Other Labadee beach attractions include waterslides, floating trampolines, and a rolling log that’s sure to be the highlight of the trip for tweens and teenagers.

Experience the Thrill of the Dragons Tail Coaster

If you didn’t get enough of a rush on the ziplining tours, take a spin on the Dragon’s Tail. This alpine coaster crests a 680-foot hill before plunging and dipping at speeds of 30 miles per hour.

Hit the Exhilarating Combo of Speedboat and Snorkel

Experience the wild Caribbean Sea both above and below on this exciting excursion. After a 30-foot inflatable boat delivers you to one of Haiti’s most stunning reefs at speeds of 50 miles per hour, you’ll delve beneath the surface to meet the colorful aquatic life that dwells there. Don’t forget to check out the Bay of Acul and other local villages along the way.

    Make a Splash Kayaking

Sea kayaking provides a more relaxing way to take in the beauty of Labadee from the water. The scenery is just as awe-inspiring, but you’ll have time to savor the views instead of rushing through them. Your knowledgeable guides will provide interesting tidbits about the island’s history as you paddle along. During a break at a nearby beach, you’ll have the opportunity to shop for locally made arts and crafts.

Drift Away to Paradise Cove and Haitian Village

Labadee’s unforgettable private beach is located just a short boat ride away. At Paradise Cove, you’ll be greeted by sugary sand and the teal-colored waters of the Caribbean Sea, with a complimentary cocktail to round out the experience. When you’ve had your fill of the beach, be sure to explore the nearby village to take in a dose of authentic Haitian life.

Get Zen on a Floating Beach Mat

Get up close and personal with the turquoise waters of the Caribbean on a floating beach mat. Whether you’re looking to get away from the crowds or work on your tan, this excursion provides the ultimate escape. Catch some rays or even a few Z’s on one of the most laid-back Labadee activities you’ll find.

Zoom Down the Dragon’s Splash Waterslide

Water-loving vacationers are sure to flock to the Dragon’s Splash Waterslide. Measuring nearly 300 feet in length and culminating in an 18-foot splash zone, this saltwater slide offers up plenty of thrill. Before taking the plunge, you’ll wander along a stone pathway and through lush vegetation to mount the dragon’s head. The slide is open all day, so you can enjoy it whenever you feel like it.

    Relax on an Island Escape

If the other Labadee shore excursions don’t provide enough of an island escape for you, embark on a getaway to Amiga Island. On this private hideaway, you can engage in a yoga class, take a swim in the gorgeously clear water, or just relax on the white sand beaches. Amiga also offers nature trails for you to explore before grabbing a refreshing beverage at the cash bar. The boat trip to Amiga takes about 25 minutes.

Take the Discover Haiti Coastal Cruise

On board the Discovery, a unique catamaran, you’ll have more to take in than just the inspiring views—though there are plenty of those to spare. This cruise offers a ride through history: Arawak Indian landmarks, the Citadel fortress, even a shipwreck.

    Embark on a Snorkel Safari

    Labadee shore excursions - snorkeling

No list of Labadee shore excursions would be complete without this one-two punch of boating and snorkeling. A double deck catamaran is waiting to whisk you away to the Haitian reef for an unforgettable under-the-sea adventure. If anyone in your party would prefer to remain dry, they’re welcome to remain on the boat while the others explore the wonders of the reef.

Make your travel plans today to experience all that a Royal Caribbean private island in Haiti has to offer.
