Silversea Cruises
Silversea Cruises combines small-ship travel with ocean-facing suites, dedicated butler service and a choice of classic luxury voyages or expert-led expeditions. Its 12-ship fleet ranges from the 51-suite Silver Origin in the Galápagos to the 364-suite Silver Nova and Silver Ray, giving guests access to both celebrated ports and remote landing sites. Dining, drinks, onboard gratuities and Wi-Fi form part of the all-inclusive onboard offering, while the exact restaurants, public rooms and expedition facilities depend on the ship.
Founded in 1994 and now part of Royal Caribbean Group, Silversea operates intimate ocean and expedition ships that visit more than 900 destinations across all seven continents. Accommodation is entirely suite-based: every suite faces the ocean, most have a private veranda, and every category includes dedicated butler service. The fleet combines Italian-influenced hospitality and destination-led dining with smaller-ship access, while the expedition vessels add Zodiac operations, specialist guides, lectures and field briefings.
The line suits travelers who value personal space, a high level of service and itineraries built around time ashore. Ocean ships pair open-seating dining with lounges, spa and fitness facilities, enrichment and evening music, while expedition ships place certified Zodiac drivers and specialists in science, wildlife, culture and history at the centre of the day. Families are welcome, but the onboard environment is quieter than a resort ship and dedicated children’s facilities or organised programmes should not be assumed, particularly on expedition voyages.
