Azamara Journey Cruises 2026 – 2027: Prices, Sailing Dates & Itinerary Schedules

Azamara Cruises logo

Azamara Journey

Azamara Journey combines an intimate 702-guest capacity with a 408-member crew and a destination-led style built around spending meaningful time ashore. Originally built in 2000 and sailing for Azamara since 2007, the R-Class ship offers 352 staterooms and suites in a compact layout that keeps public spaces easy to reach. Late stays and overnight calls support the line’s destination focus, while the Country Club Casual dress approach keeps evenings comfortable rather than formal. The result is a ship that suits travelers who value port time, personal service, and an easygoing onboard routine.

Onboard Experience

Accommodation

Accommodation ranges from practical staterooms to suites with noticeably more separation between sleeping and living space. Club Veranda Plus staterooms add an open-air balcony and extra onboard benefits, giving couples a useful middle ground between standard cabins and suites. Club World Owner’s Suites go further with a separate bedroom, spacious living area, and large private veranda, creating a more residential base for longer voyages and mornings before arriving in port.

Dining

Evenings can shift between a flexible main restaurant and casual open-air meals without repeating the same format. Discoveries Restaurant serves the ship’s main dining programme with changing menus and open seating, making it easy to dine around the day’s plans. On Azamara Journey, The Patio works as a poolside grill by day before changing into an alfresco dinner venue, giving guests a distinctly different setting after sunset on warm-weather sailings.

Bars & Lounges

Drinks and conversation are spread across several compact spaces, each with a different purpose through the day. Discoveries Bar sits just outside the main restaurant and works naturally for a pre-dinner drink or post-meal conversation. Sunset Bar, beside Windows Café, moves the mood outdoors with covered and open-air seating overlooking the wake, making it appealing around sailaway or during warm evenings when guests prefer fresh air to an indoor lounge.

Activities & Entertainment

Evening entertainment now includes productions created specifically for the fleet’s refreshed programme. Rendezvous in Paris uses live music and theatrical storytelling to evoke the city’s cabarets and streets, while Vinyl Records: The Studio Sessions brings dancers, musicians, multimedia projections, and a faster concert-style pace. Aboard Azamara Journey, these shows give the Cabaret Lounge a stronger performance focus, providing guests with structured nighttime options after returning from full destination-heavy days ashore.

Azamara Journey Highlights

Wellness is easy to build into a sea day without turning it into a formal programme. The Sanctum Spa offers massages, facials, acupuncture, salon services, and other treatments in a dedicated wellness setting. Nearby, the Fitness Center pairs ocean views with cardio and strength equipment, while complimentary group classes can include yoga, Pilates, cycling, core workouts, and nutrition sessions, giving active guests several ways to reset between longer port-intensive stretches.

Azamara Journey FAQ

1 Can I use a self-service laundry room on a longer voyage?
Yes. A complimentary self-service laundry room is available to guests, and detergent is provided. This is especially practical on longer itineraries when you do not want to rely entirely on paid laundry or dry-cleaning services.
2 Is there an easy place for frozen yogurt after a poolside lunch?
Swirl & Top is the self-service frozen-yogurt stop near the poolside dining area. It works well for a quick dessert without sitting down for another full meal, especially during warm-weather afternoons.
3 Does Azamara Journey have any suites with bathtubs?
Yes. Selected suite layouts on Journey include a bathtub, although bathroom configuration varies by category. If a tub matters to you, compare the specific suite description and deck plan rather than assuming every suite or stateroom has one.
4 Can I order a proper meal in my suite?
Selected suite categories include full in-suite dining as one of their suite amenities. Standard room service is also part of the onboard offering, but the exact menu and suite privileges can differ by accommodation category.
5 Where can I read somewhere quieter than the main lounges?
The Drawing Room is the ship’s library-style retreat, with books and comfortable seating for guests who want a calmer place to read or spend time away from busier social areas.
6 Is there somewhere onboard to buy clothing or a small gift?
The Journey Shop carries apparel, accessories, sundries, and logo items, while Indulgences focuses more on jewelry and higher-end purchases. The exact merchandise can vary by sailing.
7 Do I need formal clothes for dinner in the main and specialty restaurants?
No. Azamara uses a Country Club Casual approach and formal evening wear is not required. Dining venues do still restrict items such as bathing suits, tank tops, baseball caps, bare feet, and shorts at dinner in the main and specialty restaurants.
8 Can I get online from a ship computer if I do not bring a laptop?
Yes. Azamara Journey provides In Touch workstations for guests who prefer to access the internet without relying only on a personal device. Internet access itself follows the ship’s current Wi-Fi arrangements.
9 Does the ship have a dedicated kids’ club or family play zone?
No dedicated children’s club appears on the published deck plan, and the onboard programme is not built around organized youth facilities. Families can sail, but parents should expect a mostly adult-oriented environment and plan children’s entertainment accordingly.
10 Is there an onboard medical facility for minor health problems?
Yes. The ship has a medical facility, and Azamara states that at least one licensed physician and one nurse are generally in attendance. Services and medications are limited, so it should not be treated as a substitute for full hospital care.
