Princess Cruises recently announced that its Australian-based ship, the Sea Princess, will experience a multi-million dollar overhaul in Singapore from October 3 to 17, 2015. Some of the new features of the ship will include the building of a sports bar, which will be the first bar of its kind built in the cruise line’s fleet of Australian-based ships. The Legends Bar will feature 14 types of beer and multiple LED screens. Darts, foosball, and pool, will be available to future patrons.
The upcoming Sea Princess refurbishment will include the renovation of the ship’s Premier Cru bar as well, the décor of which will be changed into a whiskey bar called The Nook. The Nook will highlight and extend the global range of whiskeys on offer – featuring 60+ of the best spirits from around the world.
The building of the new Amuleto Café will also be included in the refurbishment schedule. The new café, when it opens, will feature coffee, cakes, and sandwiches. Diners will also be able to dine at the Horizon Court dining area, which is also a part of the planned and upcoming remodeling process.
A natural ice cream outlet will also be a part of the major renovation, with the establishment set for construction next to the ship’s major pools. BBQ offerings will also be added and will be available at the ship’s poolside grill. The newly-remodeled cruise ship will sail from Brisbane on November 24, 2015, for a 10-night round trip to Papua New Guinea and back.
