If you want to visit Hawaii before April or cruise Alaska in the summer, you may want to schedule a trip on Princess Cruises’s Star Princess. The ship, which has just undergone a $2 million remodel, features some onboard features that cannot be overlooked.

For example, if you are travelling with your family, you will want to direct your kids to the Camp Discover Youth and Teen Center. Designed for cruise guests between three and 17 years old, the youth center is part of Princess Cruises’s Discovery at Sea program. The center allows youth to make new friends while they participate in fun activities.

Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria is now updated on the Star Princess as well. The restaurant, which features new menu offerings, hosts meals that feature handmade pasta and include family recipes from the cruise line’s Italian executive chefs.

The Star Princess also features an upgrade in the form of a Princess Luxury Bed. The bed, which was developed by the cruise line in coordination with sleep expert Dr. Michael Breus and HGTV designer Candice Olson, promises the ultimate night’s sleep. The bed will be featured in each stateroom on the ship.

Other updates include an enhanced shopping experience in the form of the Effy Fine Jewelry Shop and the newly-renovated Logo Shop. Shoppers at the Logo Shop can choose from Princess Logo clothing and Princess-branded athletic apparel, among other exciting offerings.

The newly-renovated Lotus Spa and Fitness Center offers a place where cruise guests can relax in new-and-improved treatment rooms and salons. They can also work out on updated fitness machines.

If you want to try your luck, you can do so at the newly-designed casino onboard. Roll the dice or play one of the new slot machines before arriving at your Hawaiian destination or an Alaskan port.

The 15-day Hawaiian cruises on the cruise ship feature a blend of adventure and cruising with the ship stopping at ports at four of the eight Hawaiian Islands. Onboard activities also support the travel theme.
