Royal Caribbean caters to adventure seekers, as is evidenced by its recent Mariner of the Seas refurbishment. The ship, which underwent a recent $90 million renovation, will give cruise guests even more reason to book a cruise trip and vacation.
According the cruise line, cruise guests can escape to the Bahamas on three or four-night voyages, beginning in June 2018. Leaving from PortMiami, guests will be able to travel to Nassau as well as to the Royal Caribbean’s private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. To add to the excitement, a host of amenities have been added during the Mariner of the Seas refurbishment. The ship will be the host ship for the Caribbean journeys.
For example, duo racing waterslides called the Typhoon and Cyclone are part of The Perfect Storm, a popular new attraction. Cruise guests can also play glow-in-the dark laser tag or test their mental skills at Puzzle Break: the Observatorium. At the PuzzleBreak site, cruise guests are challenged with a number of high-tech riddles and hidden clues. Participants only have 60 minutes to solve a mystery, which adds to the fun and competitiveness of the activity. If you are seeking a physical challenge, catch a wave at the 40-foot FlowRider – a surf simulator that is a Caribbean favorite.
Nightlife amenities have also been ramped up during the Mariner of the Seas refurbishment. For example, The Bamboo Room, which features a new Polynesian theme, is one bar that cannot be bypassed. If you are a sports fan, you will want to visit the Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade – the place to visit on game night. Take in major sporting events while enjoying chicken wings, chilled beer, and more.
For those who are seeking to whet their appetite or curb their caffeine cravings, they will love the new culinary offerings that are part of the Mariner of the Seas refurbishment. While coffee lovers can get their fill of java at Starbucks, anyone who loves Italian cuisine will appreciate the menu selection at Jamie’s Italian. The restaurant, which highlights the Italian specialities of Chef Jamie Oliver, provides the ideal dining escape for people who love freshly-made pastas and seasonings.
Seeing the Caribbean has never been as exciting as it is now, thanks to Royal Caribbean’s focus on providing a cruise trip that offers adventure as well as the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
