Royal Caribbean is adding yet another incentive for anyone contemplating a cruise vacation. Through its Private Journeys program, guests can buy private shore excursions at one or more of the 288 ports the cruise line services in 77 countries worldwide.
In fact, the cruise provider currently offers 3,000 shore excursion experiences across the globe. However, the new planning service will allow guests to consult with one of nine Destination Insiders to prepare for their personalized port visits prior to setting sail.

The concierge-style service offering will require guests pay a $100 deposit. This prepayment will be applied to the final expense of the excursion experience. However, the fee will be waived if bookings for all the private shore excursions are made before March 31, 2016.
Some of the unique experiences planned for cruise guests include such activities as sailing in a yacht on the Italian or French Riviera, cooking beside a Michelin-rated chef, or enjoying a fireside crab feast in a remote fjord.
For example, the crab feast, which is scheduled in Ketchikan, Alaska, will allow guests to fly in a float plane before landing and enjoying a meal that includes smoked salmon, Dungeness crab, and Alaskan amber beer. Another excursion will take guests to lunch at Jardin Bruges in Belgium. Guests are invited to go behind the scenes of this world-acclaimed restaurant and savor an exquisite lunch afterward.
Naturally, the aforementioned excursions are just examples of the many interesting activities that are available for cruise passengers on vacation. One of the other excursions includes yachting along the rugged coast of Croatia’s Dubrovnik Riviera before exploring the town of Dubrovnik. During another on-shore journey, cruise guests are transported by a vintage car in Berlin. A driver serves as the guide, giving guests a brief rundown of the attractions and countryside.
If you wish to take part in an excursion designed according to your budget, tastes, and preferences, then you will want to take advantage of this offering now. Again, the $100 deposit for on-shore private excursions will be waived if you book an itinerary before the end of March 2016!
