Itineraries have been planned for the departure of the Carnival Sunshine cruise ship from three U.S. ports – New York, NY, Norfolk, Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina. The ship, which is the first vessel of the Carnival line to highlight Fun Ship 2.0 outfitted innovations, will begin its new schedule departing from New York City beginning in 2016.
Among the 20 scheduled departures from New York, these new Carnival Sunshine cruise dates include two-day cruises will be offered on 18 June and 8 October in 2016, and four-day cruises to Saint John will depart from New York on 30 June and 28 July in 2016.
Some of the featured cruise excursions from New York also include:
- Two, one-night cruises that sail out to sea and return to port.
- Two, three-night cruises to Canada’s Port of Saint John; and
- Three, four-night cruises to Halifax and Saint John in Canada.
Most of the cruises will last from two to ten days. Following the eight planned cruise trips from New York City and four trips planned from Norfolk and Charleston, respectively, the vessel will return Port Canaveral, Florida, which is the ship’s home port. Once it has docked in Port Canaveral, the Carnival Splendor will set sail on Caribbean journeys lasting from 5-8 days, beginning in November 2016.
Norfolk sailings in connection with the Carnival Splendor include overnight cruises that go out to sea and return the next day, as well as a Bahamas cruise in June that lasts four nights. The Splendor will set sail for five nights in October to yet another Bahamas cruise locale. The ship will also set sail for Bermuda in October, docking overnight at King’s Wharf.
Some of the Charleston sailings include a three-night cruise in May to Nassau, and in May and November, four-night jaunts to the Bahamas. Contact Carnival with any questions or inquiries about the newly scheduled trips.
