MSC Poesia Alaska Sailings Return For A Third Summer As 2028 Bookings Open

Bookings Open For Summer 2028

Bookings for MSC Poesia Alaska sailings in summer 2028 are now open, extending the cruise line’s presence for a third consecutive season. MSC Poesia will depart from Seattle every week between April 24 and September 18, 2028, on seven-night itineraries built around glaciers, wildlife and coastal communities. The programme offers plentiful departure choices while retaining MSC Cruises’ convenient round-trip format.

A Refreshed Ship Heads North

The ship will return following a major refurbishment that added the MSC Yacht Club, MSC Cruises’ private ship-within-a-ship concept. Its 69 suites are supported by round-the-clock butler and concierge service, while guests also receive access to a dedicated restaurant, lounge and sundeck with whirlpools, a grill and a bar. The work introduced Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar, alongside an enhanced MSC Aurea Spa, an expanded Technogym-powered gym, a barber shop, workout studios and the Top 15 Exclusive Solarium.

MSC Poesia Alaska Sailings Reflect Strong Demand

MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato linked the early opening of the 2028 programme to the popularity of Alaska since the company began operating there. He said the added season would provide more opportunities to plan ahead, while the upgraded MSC Poesia would support the company’s hospitality offer with improved facilities and the newly installed Yacht Club. His comments position the deployment as both a response to demand and a continuation of MSC Cruises’ investment in the ship.

Five Calls Frame Each Seven-Night Voyage

The MSC Poesia Alaska sailings will combine several of the region’s landscapes and communities. Ketchikan contributes fishing heritage, waterfront character and Alaska Native culture, while Indigenous-owned Icy Strait Point focuses on wildlife, outdoor activities and local traditions. Scenic cruising through Tracy Arm adds waterfalls and views toward the Sawyer Glaciers. Juneau provides access to glacier country and state history before the itinerary continues to Victoria, British Columbia, with its gardens, architecture and harbourfront setting.

Wildlife And Entertainment Shape The Journey

Cruise director Matías Chimicz identified close views of glaciers, remote settlements and long daylight hours in the Inside Passage among the moments that make these voyages memorable. Wildlife sightings may include whales, orcas, bald eagles, bears, deer, otters and harbour seals, with some guests spotting whales from the ship. MSC Cruises’ official Alaska guide describes the Inside Passage as a 500-mile network of glacier-formed waterways. At sea, production shows, live music and Dirty Dancing: In Concert complement international dining, children’s programmes and spa facilities.

Planning Beyond The New Season Travellers do not need to wait until 2028 to book the ship in Alaska. MSC Cruises is already accepting reservations for its 2027 programme, scheduled from April 26 through September 27. Together, the available seasons provide a longer planning horizon for guests interested in a Seattle departure, enhanced private facilities and a week-long view of the Inside Passage through MSC Poesia Alaska sailings.
