A Reimagined Classic Returns To Sea
The latest round of Celebrity Solstice upgrades marks a major milestone for Celebrity Cruises as the newly refreshed ship has officially returned to service. The vessel departed Singapore on March 2, unveiling a range of redesigned spaces, new dining venues, and entertainment concepts that signal the start of a broader revitalization program for the cruise line’s Solstice Series ships.
First launched in 2008, Celebrity Solstice introduced a new generation of design and onboard experiences within the fleet. According to Celebrity Cruises president Laura Hodges Bethge, the modernization honors the ship’s legacy while elevating the vacation experience to meet evolving guest expectations. The redesign focuses on how travelers prefer to spend their time onboard, pairing contemporary venues with the high level of hospitality the brand is known for.

The ship’s renewed design is part of a broader strategy to keep established vessels competitive with newer cruise ships while maintaining the style and sophistication that made them popular with loyal guests.
Sunset Park And New Social Spaces
One of the most visible Celebrity Solstice upgrades is the addition of Sunset Park, a new outdoor destination located on the top deck. The open-air venue blends relaxation and entertainment, offering activities such as lawn games, yoga sessions, and live music against panoramic ocean views.
Private cabanas have been added to create shaded retreats for guests looking to unwind while enjoying personalized service from dedicated attendants. Nearby, the new Sunset Park Café provides casual dining for breakfast and lunch with pastries, sandwiches, salads, and charcuterie boards throughout the day. An expanded Sunset Bar completes the space, serving cocktails designed to complement the scenic views.
These additions reflect the growing cruise industry trend toward flexible outdoor social spaces that combine entertainment, relaxation, and casual dining in a single setting.
Celebrity Solstice Upgrades Expand Dining Options
Dining is another central focus of the ship’s transformation. Among the most notable changes are two restaurants that significantly broaden the onboard culinary selection.

Trattoria Rossa introduces Italian cuisine inspired by Roman and Southern Italian traditions. Freshly made pasta, seafood specialties, and classic dishes such as Chicken Parmesan are served alongside tableside preparations designed to create a more interactive dining atmosphere.
Fine Cut Steakhouse, previously a favorite on Celebrity’s Edge Series ships, now joins the Solstice lineup. The restaurant specializes in premium steaks dry-aged for 30 days along with fresh seafood and refined side dishes. Bringing this venue to Celebrity Solstice aligns the ship’s dining offerings more closely with the cruise line’s newer vessels.
Together, these venues illustrate how the latest Celebrity Solstice upgrades aim to elevate culinary experiences while maintaining variety across the ship’s restaurants.
New Entertainment Venues And Shows
Entertainment also receives a major refresh with the introduction of two brand-new venues: Boulevard Lounge and The Parlor.
Boulevard Lounge is a 125-seat space designed for day-to-night programming. Guests can expect piano sing-alongs, karaoke sessions, game shows, and other interactive events, complemented by cocktails served at the adjacent Boulevard Bar.
The Parlor brings a more relaxed entertainment concept to the ship as a sports and gaming lounge. Guests can challenge friends over billiards, darts, or board games while watching live sports on large screens. The venue also offers comfort-style dining options, including signature burgers, shrimp mac and cheese, and indulgent desserts.
In the main theatre, two original productions debut as part of the ship’s refreshed entertainment lineup. One show celebrates the sound and style of the 1950s with piano-driven performances and acrobatics, while another recreates iconic rock concerts from different decades through a live stage production.
Accommodation Enhancements And New Suites
Another key element of the refurbishment involves accommodations. All existing cabins onboard have been updated as part of the extensive Celebrity Solstice upgrades, and the ship now features 54 additional staterooms, bringing the total to 1,479.

Four entirely new stateroom categories have also been introduced, including the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite and two Panoramic Ocean View Suite options. These new accommodations are designed to maximize natural light and ocean views while offering more spacious layouts.
Suite-class guests staying in The Retreat now have access to a redesigned private lounge and a new sundeck featuring an oversized hot tub and dedicated seating areas. Meanwhile, AquaClass staterooms emphasize wellness, incorporating spa-inspired details such as aromatherapy diffusers, yoga mats, upgraded showers, and a pillow menu.
Guests staying in AquaClass also receive access to the Blu restaurant and the Persian Garden spa area, both of which complement Celebrity Cruises’ focus on health and relaxation.
Global Voyages Following The Relaunch
Following its return to service, the ship will sail itineraries across Asia and Australia before heading north for its Alaska season in summer 2026. Later in the year, the vessel will embark on an ambitious 110-night Grand Voyage visiting more than 55 ports across Alaska, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia before concluding in Hong Kong on New Year’s Eve. As these itineraries unfold, the refreshed design and expanded onboard offerings highlight how the latest Celebrity Solstice upgrades are positioning the ship for a new chapter in its long cruising career.
