Transforming Guest Accommodations
The highly anticipated Crystal Symphony refurbishment is set to bring a fresh sense of luxury and comfort to the renowned cruise ship. This November, Crystal Symphony will enter drydock for a comprehensive, three-week transformation focused on both guest suites and public spaces. The project emphasizes elevating the guest experience through thoughtful design and modern updates, further establishing Crystal’s reputation for exceptional cruise vacations.
One of the main highlights of the Crystal Symphony refurbishment is the complete redesign of the Aquamarine and Sapphire Classic suites on Deck 10. While the original spacious layouts and separate bathtub and shower arrangements will be retained, these suites will showcase brand-new furnishings and elegant décor inspired by the ship’s 2023 makeover. Updated carpets and sophisticated wall coverings will refresh each suite, offering guests a modern yet timeless retreat at sea. The refurbishment is being carried out in collaboration with the renowned De Wave Group of Genoa, ensuring every detail matches Crystal’s standards.
Reimagining Public Spaces
Beyond the suites, several prominent public areas are also set for transformation during the Crystal Symphony refurbishment. The central Atrium and Crystal Cove will be given a more contemporary look, featuring additional seating, the removal of the existing water feature, a new two-story mosaic, and a striking chandelier. The reception area will benefit from a refined layout, complete with a marble-topped desk and backlit panel. Crystal Cove’s bar will be upgraded with an elegant new counter and shelving, while high-end furniture will further enhance the space’s ambiance.
Other key updates include the stair lobbies on Decks 5 and 6, where new ceiling structures, improved lighting, and architectural details will bring a cohesive sophistication to these transitional areas. The Starlite Club’s dance floor and ceiling centerpiece will be refreshed, preserving its lively atmosphere while adding a touch of modern style. Guest restrooms on Deck 5 and the Bistro’s wooden floors will also receive aesthetic upgrades.
Technical and Sustainability Advancements
The Crystal Symphony refurbishment is not limited to guest-facing improvements. The ship will undergo vital technical upgrades to ensure smooth sailing and sustainability for years to come. Enhancements include a full overhaul of the fin stabilizers, renewed evaporators, new fuel and oil purifiers to support biodiesel, extensive fresh-water piping replacement, and updated galleys and provision areas. Additional work covers generator maintenance and targeted steel replacements throughout the vessel.
The Crystal Symphony refurbishment is a testament to Crystal Cruises‘ ongoing commitment to innovation, elegance, and guest satisfaction.
