More Than 50 Voyages Across the Galapagos Archipelago
Bookings have officially opened for the upcoming Galapagos expedition sailings aboard the expedition ship Celebrity Flora, offering travelers the opportunity to reserve voyages scheduled throughout 2028. The new season will feature more than fifty all-inclusive departures designed to explore one of the world’s most extraordinary natural destinations. The Galapagos Islands, located roughly 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, are famous for their unique wildlife and volcanic landscapes that inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution.

The upcoming voyages are designed to combine small-ship exploration with a luxury cruise experience. According to Celebrity Cruises President Laura Hodges Bethge, the Galapagos remains one of the most remarkable places on Earth, and the company aims to provide guests with a refined and intimate way to explore the region while continuing to support conservation initiatives that protect the islands’ fragile ecosystem.
Celebrity Flora Designed Specifically for the Islands
All voyages will take place aboard Celebrity Flora, a purpose-built expedition vessel accommodating just one hundred guests. Designed exclusively for sailing in the Galapagos, the yacht allows travelers to access remote landing sites and protected areas that larger ships cannot reach. Its environmentally conscious design also reflects the strict sustainability requirements that apply within the national park.
Guests sailing on these Galapagos expedition sailings can choose from itineraries lasting seven, ten, eleven or sixteen nights. Each voyage is led by expert naturalists from the Galapagos National Park who guide travelers through daily shore landings and wildlife encounters. Activities may include snorkeling alongside sea lions, kayaking near volcanic cliffs, and hiking across islands where giant tortoises and rare bird species roam freely.

The onboard experience complements the expedition atmosphere with spacious suites, regionally inspired cuisine and educational programming that explores the geology, wildlife and history of the archipelago. Some itineraries also feature unique onboard experiences such as stargazing or overnight glamping on deck, allowing guests to connect even more closely with the surrounding environment.
Galapagos Expedition Sailings and Conservation Initiatives
The voyages are also closely tied to conservation programs developed in partnership with the Galapagos National Park. Through the cruise line’s Rewilding Galapagos initiative, guests participate in habitat restoration projects during their journey. Travelers visit a Scalesia reforestation area with park naturalists and help plant native seedlings, directly contributing to ecosystem restoration efforts across the islands.

These initiatives are supported by the Celebrity Cruises Galapagos Fund, which has funded local environmental and community projects since 2005. One of its key projects includes the Hernán Carrión Nursery, where native plants are cultivated for reforestation programs throughout the archipelago. The cruise line expects that ongoing efforts will reach a milestone of planting 100,000 trees in the coming years.
Many travelers combine their cruise with extended land programs in South America, adding visits to destinations such as Quito, Lima, Cusco or Machu Picchu. These additional journeys provide cultural and historical context that complements the wildlife-focused expedition.
With limited guest capacity and carefully designed itineraries, the newly announced Galapagos expedition sailings offer travelers a rare opportunity to explore one of the planet’s most pristine ecosystems while supporting meaningful conservation work in the region.
