If you love beer, then you won’t be disappointed by the featured offerings at the Red Frog Pub & Brewery, a tavern and beer-making venue that is featured on board the new Carnival Vista cruise ship. The popular pub will give guests the opportunity to choose among three distinct pleasant-tasting hand-crafted beers, each of which will be brewed in the first sea brewery in North America.
The collaboration for this idea is the result of Carnival’s alignment with Concrete Beach Brewery, which is based in Miami. An independently operated subsidiary of The Boston Beer Company, Concrete Beach is an Alchemy & Science brand brewery that is one of several other breweries that are registered under the Alchemy & Science name. Two of these breweries include the Angel City Brewery, located in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn’s Coney Island Brewing Co. All the Alchemy & Science breweries make beers that are related to their locale.
Concrete Beach is partnering with Carnival to produce the recipes and ingredients needed to craft distinctive beers at sea. These beers will be represented by the Thirsty Frog Caribbean Wheat, the Frisky Frog Java Stout and the Thirsty Frog Port Hoppin’ IPA. The “Port Hoppin’” brew has hoppy notes with citrus and passion fruit overtones, while the “Caribbean Wheat’ is an unfiltered brew of banana and spices. The “Frisky Frog” is a traditional type stout that conveys hints of coffee, so you can even be a coffee lover and enjoy a beer on this Carnival ship.
