$250 Million Playground
Royal Caribbean likes to do things big, and of all the private islands in the Bahamas, this one has a lot of the “biggest” attractions. It features the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean and the tallest water slide in North America. Then there’s the Caribbean’s largest wave pool to splash in. Essentially, the island is packed with all the thrills of a water park along with classic white sand beaches cruisers want on a private, Caribbean island.
Things to Do on Perfect Day at CocoCay
Perfect Day Island at CocoCay really tries to be the perfect family destination, and there are plenty of things to do on Perfect Day at CocoCay. It has two separate collections of water slides, Daredevil’s Tower and Splash Summit. The first has seven single-rider slides, including Daredevil’s Peak, the tallest water slide in North America mentioned above. Splash Summit lets families pair up for a thrill, race beside each other, or even fit the entire crew on a single raft. It features six different slides for riders seeking different experiences.
If visitors would rather not don a bathing suit, they can get on a hot air balloon. Up, Up and Away rises 450 ft. above the island to offer panoramic views and a unique vacation thrill. Naturally, this is supposedly the highest vantage point in the Bahamas.
The island also hosts the Oasis Lagoon, Splashaway Bay, a zipline, volleyball, basketball, and paddleboarding. Families willing to pay additional fees can enjoy private cabanas, a gigantic Infinity pool, and a deck as part of the Coco Beach Club
Cruise to Perfect Day Island at Cococay
Royal Caribbean clearly plans to make some returns on their investment as quickly as possible. That means essentially all of their Bahamas cruise itineraries feature this stop, and so do many of their Caribbean cruises. Many 3 night voyages only sail to Perfect Day Island at CocoCay, so there are plenty of opportunities to cruise to Perfect Day at CocoCay to check out the new Royal Caribbean playground in person.
