Carnival Cruise Line, which is well-known in the cruise industry for its shorter three to five-day cruises, will be featuring itineraries in the China cruise market, beginning with its debut of the Carnival Miracle in 2016. The Carnival Miracle’s introduction into the Asian marketplace will precede the arrival of the Carnival Splendor in 2017. Both the aforementioned cruise ships will mark Carnival’s launch of Chinese cruise excursions that are shorter in duration.
The Carnival Miracle, which can hold up to 2,124 passengers, offers a spacious cruise experience as well as amenities that are tailored for all members of the family. For example, one of the ship’s features is its large water park for children. Adults can relax and play in the ship’s outdoor enclave, named Serenity – a park-like venue that is designed for adults 21 and over. Serenity is featured on the Carnival Splendor as well.
The Carnival Splendor, which will call China home in 2017, is also designed for family sailing, with amenities ranging from a Cloud 9 spa to a Twister waterslide. The ship’s visitors will also have access to the vessel’s FunHub, which is Carnival’s connection to information about ports-of-call and onboard activities. Activity schedules are available in the hub area as well as entertainment schedules and a FunAshore guide – everything, via the computer, that helps the guest plan a full day of fun onboard and off-board itineraries.
Both the ships will provide Chinese travelers with a deluxe travel experience – one that will enable them to enjoy trips that meet the demands of a tighter schedule. Carnival is partnering with Costa Asia, its parent company, in offering cruise holidays to the Asian market. Costa Asia has been covering the Asian cruise market for the last nine years. The combined experience of both companies will enable Carnival to provide the ultimate in services to its new demographic.
