Royal Caribbean has announced its next vacation destination, Perfect Day Mexico, set to open in 2027 on Mexico’s Caribbean coast in Mahahual. This new location will blend the company’s signature thrilling activities with the unique culture and natural beauty of Mexico. Perfect Day Mexico will build on the success of the popular Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, which has become a favorite for vacationers since its launch in 2019.
Royal Caribbean Group’s CEO, Jason Liberty, highlighted that the expansion of the Perfect Day Collection responds to the growing demand for unique travel experiences. The new destination aims to attract visitors looking to explore the Western Caribbean by offering an array of activities for all ages, including a new waterpark, stunning beaches, diverse dining options, and entertainment. Perfect Day Mexico will complement the Royal Beach Club Cozumel, scheduled to open in 2026, as another key destination for Royal Caribbean guests.
Michael Bayley, CEO of Royal Caribbean International, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing memorable experiences that highlight the beauty and culture of the destinations they visit. Perfect Day Mexico will be created in partnership with the state of Quintana Roo, reinforcing Royal Caribbean’s dedication to sustainability and community collaboration. This project aligns with Royal Caribbean Group’s SEA the Future initiative, which focuses on creating responsible and sustainable vacation experiences.
Mara Lezama, Governor of Quintana Roo, expressed excitement about Royal Caribbean’s investment in Mahahual. She emphasized the commitment to creating a sustainable destination that fosters local economic growth while offering tourists a chance to experience the warmth and culture of the region. This investment is part of a broader initiative to promote tourism that benefits local communities.
The launch of Perfect Day Mexico will add to Royal Caribbean’s collection of top-rated destinations, which includes Perfect Day at CocoCay and upcoming attractions like the Royal Beach Club in Paradise Island, Bahamas, in 2025, and Labadee, Haiti. This expansion allows vacationers to enjoy unique and tailored experiences across the Caribbean.
