The Carnival Valor has recently undergone a new makeover, one that will prepare the cruise vessel to offer guests the finest in bar and dining options. The new dining and bar concepts will be part of the featured launch of the cruise ship’s year-round three- and four-day Caribbean excursions. The planned start date is October 30, 2016.
Three-day trips will leave Port Canaveral on Thursday and head toward Nassau, while the four-day journeys will leave on Sundays from the Space Coast and stop in Nassau and Freeport. The ship will also feature longer Caribbean journeys from its home port.
Some of the new eateries and pubs featured on the Carnival Valor refurbished cruise ship include Guy’s Burger Joint, the RedFrog Rum Bar, the RedFrog Pub, the Bluelguana Tequila Bar, the SkyBox Sports Bar and the Alchemy Bar. The new specialty dining and pub additions were established during a dry dock that occurred from April 23 to May 8, 2016.
Besides the Carnival Valor, Port Canaveral is also the base for three other Carnival ships. The Carnival Victory and Carnival Magic will feature year-round sailing itineraries, while the Carnival Sunshine will sail seasonally.
A detailed breakdown of some of the new additions includes the following.
The Bluelguana Tequila Bar will offer a festive and fun outdoor bar that is surrounded by a casual Mexican-themed décor. Beers and tequila-based frozen drinks will be served to guests onboard.
The RedFrog Rum Bar is a poolside bar onboard ship with a Caribbean theme that centers on Caribbean beers and rum-based frozen drinks. One of the featured drinks is the cruise line’s own Thirsty Frog Red.
Guy’s Burger Joint is a poolside restaurant that will be free to guests. The eatery was created in partnership with Guy Fieri of the Food Network. It will feature fresh-cut fries and one-of-a-kind burgers – a place that will underscore the chef’s love of cars and California background.
If you want to see the Carnival Valor refurbished and updated, you will have to book a trip. Cruise guests can now partake of a host of food and entertainment offerings on their Caribbean trips.
