Travel Weekly Asia’s Readers Choice Awards recently distinguished the Costa Victoria, which is part of Costa Cruises, as being the “Best Cruise Ship” of the year.
Debuting in 1996, the Costa Victoria was refurbished in 2014 and features 964 cabins. Of this number, 573 are afforded an outside view with 242 of the cabins featuring a private balcony. Six large panorama suites are featured on the vessel as well as 14 mini-suites. All the cabins on the cruise ship display wood cabinetry, mini-bar, refrigerator and air conditioning.
Suite passengers on the Italian-themed ship enjoy pillow menus, daily delivery of lunch and dinner menus and entrees that are delivered en-suite. If you wish to take your meal in a fine dining establishment, then the ship offers the Fantasia Restaurant and Sinfonia Restaurant, each of which highlights appetizers and six tantalizing courses to savor onboard.
The cruise ship is also home to the Pool Grill, where poolside dining serves up hotdogs, fries, pizza, burgers and fruit. The ship’s Pizzeria is open from mid-afternoon and bar snacks are available continuously. You can enjoy pizza and sandwiches in the ship’s bars late at night and 24-hour room service is also available. The room service breakfast is always served free of charge.
Needless to say, you won’t starve when taking a cruise holiday onboard this ship. You will also enjoy the itinerary. An upcoming journey will lead cruise-goers from Singapore to Hong Kong in January 2016. Stop-off points include the ports of Boracay, Hong Kong, Kinabalu, Manila, Muara Siberut, Puerto Princesa, and Singapore.
The Travel Weekly Asia’s Readers Choice Awards also honored Royal Caribbean International as the “Best Cruise Line Overall” and Princess Cruises as the “Best Cruise Line for Service Excellence”.
